Last week,i got a call from Sophie. She said we needed to see and catch up on old times. I was delighted to hear from her. Who is Sophie? Ermh well, Sophie is not her actual name..its Sophia..but i call her that. Sophie..short for sophisticated..it was a private joke between us. You see, we had been quite close during our university days..Yea..but we never made it past that level of relationship.

Obosi community stands still as Igwe Iweka celebrates Obiora annual cultural fiesta

ONITSHA — For four consecutive years now, the traditional ruler of Obosi Kingdom in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, His Majesty, HM, Igwe Chidubem Iweka III has celebrated the Iwa-ji and Obiora Obosi annual cultural festival since he ascended the royal throne in 2011. Although the age-long festival had been celebrated by successive monarchs in the community, up to the immediate past Igwe Obosi, late Josiah Nwakoby, the festival appeared to have been modernized in such a way that it has started attracting dignitaries from all walks of life.

Leading Innovations Telecommunications Operator, Etisalat Nigeria, Eko Hotel and Suites and the African Artists Foundation (AAF) have announced the 2015 edition of the annual LagosPhoto Festival themed Designing Futures.
