International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law Intersociety, yesterday, blamed the high rate of crime in the South-East, particularly kidnappings and robberies, on the failure of the Police in the zone to diligently carry out their duties at check points.

THE Bini monarch, Oba Erediauwa, yesterday, rained curses on kidnappers, armed robbers and people involved in other violent crime in the state, with his chiefs, led by the Iyase (Prime Minister) of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe, the Isekhure of Benin Kingdom (Chief Priest of the Kingdom), Chief Nosakhare Isekhure, going round the streets of Benin, proclaiming and laying curses on evil doers in the society.
