TWO secondary school students, Miss Ann Adamatie and Master Victor Adamatie, aged 16 and 13 respectively, have cried out to the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, and other kind-hearted Nigerians to save their 51-year-old mother, Mrs. Roli Adamatie, a teacher, who is suffering hiatal hernia with reflux esophagitis and peptic structure from the paroxysms of death.

It was a day the news hunters became the hunted. On that fateful day, two journalists, in the course of doing their job, had approached the Chairman of Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, Funmilayo Efuwape, to seek her side of the story on the crisis that had engulfed the local government. FACTS have emerged that the outlawing of motorcycle, otherwise known as okada transportation in Warri, Effurun and Asaba in Delta State, November 1, by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, was impelled chiefly by very serious threats to the security of the state.

Two suspects identified as Kayode Ogunwa and Oluwa Femi, are currently cooling their heels at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, following the stabbing to death of a hotel attendant, identified as Mr. Otumala Ukama Benson, a 32-year-old, a native of Benue State, over a misunderstanding during penultimate Sunday English Premiership League, EPL, clash between Chelsea and Manchester City football clubs.

Needed help has continued to come the way of victims of recent flood disasters in Nigeria, with the International Rescue Committee, IRC, sending a delegation to the country to render technical assistance and supports worth millions of dollars through an appeal fund planned for that purpose. It is doing this in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.
