Lack of adequate awareness has been identified as the reason why many Nigerians suffer in silence while their rights are being trampled upon.This view was contained in a statement issued by the public relations officer of the Public Advice Center (PAC), a department in the Directorate of Citizens Rights of the Lagos State ministry of justice, Mr. Alex Omorodion, who said his center was poised to protect the rights of Nigerians who were being molested because of ignorance of their rights and responsibilities under the law.
