The Nigeria Industrial Relations Association ( NIRA) is to host the 6th African Regional Congress of Industrial Relations in Lagos , January 24- 28, 2011. The International Industrial Relations Association based in Geneva, confirmed Nigeria’s hosting in Geneva.

COMRADE Achese Igwe, was recently elected President of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), succeeding Comrade Peter Akpatason who led the union for eight years.
