Moves by some aggrieved private sector unions to bring the alleged betrayal of private sector by the public public sector, on the floor of Tuesday’s meeting of the National Executive Council, NEC, of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, hit the rocks.

Labour Vanguard gathered that the aggrieved private sector unions had petitioned the NEC and the petition was circulated to NEC members by the petitioners at the the meeting.

Crisis rocking the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, ahead of National Delegates Conference, NDC, taking place between February 9 and 11 in Abuja, has deepened as more facts emerged over the purported betrayal of private sector unions by public sector unions.

OVER six million contributors have now been enrolled in the Contributory Pension Scheme, CPS, the National Pension Commission, PenCom, has said.

Workers in Lagos have called on both the executive and legislative arms of government to amend the Lagos State Contributory Pension Scheme law to meet the current reality.
