On May 31, 2011, armed men numbering about twenty, stormed the Okeiyimi, Ado Ekiti branch of First bank. The bandits, armed with sophisticated weapons, threw caution and fear of possible counter- attack by security operatives to the wind as they stormed the area, which is the most busiest in the state at about 10am.
