President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday in Abuja said the Federal Government was committed to ensuring free and fair election in the forthcoming Ondo State governorship poll.

IF the words and assurances of the governorship candidates and leaders of their various parties were anything go by, the October 20 election in Ondo State will be peaceful and credible.

CHAIRMAN of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega, has warned all the candidates of political parties in the October 20 governorship election in Ondo State against heating up the polity with aggressive languages, threats and other forms of intimidation before, during and after the elections.

GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State and gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party, LP, weekend, continued in his election campaign, promising better days ahead if re-elected in the October election.

Akeredolu Campaign Organisation, ACO, said, weekend, commitment, integrity, honesty and dedication to duty were listed as the reasons Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, named its national headquarters after Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, the governorship candidate of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the October 20 election in Ondo State.
