Instructional materials crucial to teaching and learning – NERDC Boss

NETC was engrained into the National Open University of Nigeria. It was now discovered by the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) that there are commonalities in their mandates. Open University to deliver education, using the open platform to increase access; and part of NETC’s mandate was to use broadcasting and the media to deliver education. So you could see the commonality. So in order to consolidate the entities, the Open University took over NETC and that aspect of the function.

Schools resume, students recount holiday experiences

The resumption date presented the school children the opportunity to reminiscence on their experiences during the four-week holiday. As recounted by the school children, many of them were unable to travel during the holiday due to fuel scarcity. In fact, the fuel crisis hampered movement within the Lagos metropolis so much so hat the number of children at the various amusement parks that dot the city of Lagos reduced drastically when compared with the figure recorded during the previous yelutide seasons.
