“If we can get records of Nigerians who attended those institutions and once we do that they are criminals. There is no time frame for criminality. We will trace them and if we are able to lay our hands on them, certainly security operatives will go after them.”

The Ministry noted that its decision followed an undercover investigation conducted by a Nigerian online platform that exposed the activity of a degree mill in Cotonou.

“Those who excel were on scholarship. The average students had their education subsidized. I don’t think getting students to pay back loan is sustainable for the Nigerian education system.”

A distinguished Nigerian, who is also a student of Lagos State University (LASU,) Amb.Edward Olutoke, has underscored the need for collaboration between postgraduate students worldwide.

Osun State University management has suspended its “no cooking in hostel”, policy, thereby allowing its students living on campus to cook in their various halls of hostels.
