The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has expressed concerns over the low turnout of Direct Entry registration as the exercise draws to a close.

There is tension at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, following the refusal of the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Charles Igwe, to convene a Senate meeting of the University in order to nominate an Acting Vice Chancellor of the Institution through the recommendation of its Senate.
