I am asking this question because whenever I get involved in phone or face-to-face discussions with non-Igbos about the possibility of an Igbo Presidency in 2023, negative remarks are the norm.

EARLIER on this month, my cousin, Chief Mrs. Zainab Marwa, the Igolo Oha 1, went to meet her Maker. She was related to me via my mother and her branch of the family was highly successful.

Our super-chatty Governor, Nyesom Wike, attended this year’s event two weeks ago and seized this opportunity to tell today’s Ogoni leaders off for being disunited, selling out, blaming others for our collective misfortunes and not being focused on problem-solving.

Another role model worth mentioning today, as we end an old year and enter a new one, is Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.
