LAST week, I complained about the Senate’s failure to act on widespread calls for restructuring by refusing to pass bills relating to proposed devolution of legislative powers to states and proposed deletion of the Land Use Act from the Constitution.

I’m told that the Land Use bill failed because of strong opposition from Northern senators, who fear resource control “through the back door”; which basically means that they want to withhold justice from oil-producing states

Last week, I wearily described Nigeria as an arranged marriage of convenience that has always been troubled and convenient only for certain groups…because it was (in my opinion) organized by conniving British colonial officials who were not strong on emotional intelligence and possessed pretty dire matchmaking skills.

The heinous crimes presently being perpetrated by young people are too heart-rending. We cannot continue like this. Something has to be done. Nigerians who have carted away the commonwealth must make reparation to our youth

The quit notice by the CNY, as far as I am concerned, does not hold water, reason being that IPOB and MASSOB in their agitations have not asked other Nigerians residing in the South East to leave or threaten their means of livelihood
