Complaints and investigations
Dear Investors Forum, thank you so much for championing my struggle to have DataMax Registrars pay my controverted GTB dividend. Your publication of my case in the Vanguard edition of Tuesday, Sept. 17 woke them up from their reverie of false sense of victory over me. After a flurry of telephone calls following the publication, DataMax finally admitted their crime or offence or error and lodged my money on Friday last week. Yes! Vanguard’s ink of altruism has proven mightier than DataMax’s sleight of the accounting pen! I can truly, deeply appreciate you for I am in the news media myself; I work for a private TV station in Anambra State. I can’t thank you enough, my brethren, our print media ambassadors. God bless u all. -UDENTA CHRIS C.
SEC should ensure proper utilisation of newly acquired Growth Fund
I think it will bring about more investments. This is a civilized country, and we need to enlighten people. Even SEC has told us that it needs so many shareholders’ associations; that the ones in existence are not enough. With the international Growth Fund it has acquired, we only pray that it would be used for the purpose it is meant for, which is for the development of the capital market. It will not make sense if they keep acquiring fund and we don’t seeing the benefits of the fund.

IMF predicts higher global economic growth in 2014
I am going to do the usual quick tour of the world economy. I am going to start with the U.S. In the U.S., private demand continues to be strong. On the assumption that fiscal accidents are avoided, which is the underlying assumption of our forecast, recovery should strengthen. Growth will be higher next year than it is this year. It is, therefore, time to make plans for exit from both quantitative easing and zero policy rates, although it is not time yet to implement these plans.

Success of In Your Business: The Basic Guide to Starting Your Business (5)
There are many differing views on what makes someone an entrepreneur and what an entrepreneurial venture is. The term itself is believed to have originated from French, coined by a French economist, Jean-Baptiste Say, in about 1800, who defined an entrepreneur as “one who undertakes an enterprise , especially a contractor, acting as intermediary between capital and labour”. But it was first defined in English by the Irish economist Richard Cantillon, as” a term applied to the type of personality who is willing to take upon herself or himself a new venture or enterprise and accepts full responsibility for the outcome”. The definition of entrepreneur is not limited, as various writers and world renowned entrepreneurs have given it various meanings.

Customer First: Customer Punishment: Do you do it?
“I don’t know about you, but as a consumer, I often feel as if I’m being punished.” J. D. Power III, founder of J. D. Power and Associates, wrote those words in his foreword to the book, Satisfaction.
Customer punishment sounds like an oxymoron. It is antithetical to customer satisfaction, customer service, customer focus, customer delight and customer experience – concepts that are familiar mantras in the lexicon of relationship marketing and management. There’s even “customer astonishment” à la Darby Checketts, author and speaker. But customer punishment? Let’s explore this further.
