The Federal Government has commenced the construction of grazing reserves and clearly delineated stock routes for effective livestock development at N3.6 billion.

The Federal Government on Tuesday released 25,000 tonnes of assorted grains from the National Strategic Food Reserve (NSFR) to cushion the effects of high cost of food.

The Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON) has called on the Federal Government to curb increasing piracy in the country’’s territorial waters to encourage the growth of the fishing industry.FISON’’s National President, Mrs Foluke Areola on Tuesday in Lagos that the sector experienced over300 piracy attacks in the last one year. She said that some of the incidents were not reported.“Government needs to undertake a comprehensive and effective monitoring, control and surveillance of fishing activities in Nigeria’’s territorial waters,””
