Most Nigerians consume crops like maize, groundnut and cassava, but unknown to majority these crops are susceptible to Aflatoxins, which are highly toxic to humans and animals. Aflatoxin is a poison produced by the ubiquitous fungus Aspergillus flavus that infects various crops in the fields and stores making food and feed unsafe. According to Scientists, consuming foods containing Aflatoxins can cause death both in animals and human.
