OrderPaper, Nigeria’s premier and pre-eminent parliament-focused organisation has said that most Nigerians made random decisions in the March 18 governorship and state assembly elections.

The organization said that the polls were ultimately characterized by bandwagon effect that was witnessed during the presidential and national assembly elections.

“Whether the winner won through the popularity, or he had used other means or whatever, it is God that made it possible for him.”

The Governor-elect in Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has said that he would involve all in his forthcoming administration. In this interview, he thanked the people of Kaduna State for electing him as Governor and assured them that he would be fair to all.

Mutfwang polled 525,299 votes defeated his closest challenger, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda of the All Progressives Congress who had 481,370 votes.

They claimed governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Hajiya Aishatu Ahmed, also known as Binani, scored the highest number of votes cast in the election and ought to have been declared winner of the poll.

“My position is that the INEC REC did very well by declaring the result inconclusive and my reasons are simple,”

Yusuf’s victory comes four years after contesting against Ganduje in 2019 in a fiercely fought and controversial election, which similarly culminated in supplementary polls.
