Catholic Bishops of the Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province have expressed support for the Federal Government’s renewed efforts to tackle insecurity across Nigeria, while urging tax authorities to implement ongoing tax reforms with fairness, transparency and sensitivity to the welfare of citizens.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said he would not use force to take control of Greenland, an autonomous territory of Washington’s ally Denmark, but insisted the United States must still have “ownership” of it.

“The USA is the economic engine on the planet. And when America booms, the entire world booms. It’s been the history,” he said during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the Greenland crisis has dominated talks.
