Ahead of the Area Council Election of the FCT scheduled for Saturday, 21st February 2026, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has deployed personnel across the FCT as part of its comprehensive operational order for the peaceful conduct of the polls.

“We will eliminate the idea of an Arab terror state,” said Smotrich, speaking at an event organised by his Religious Zionism Party late on Tuesday.

The communications body spokesman also cited the “spread of false information”, “cyberbullying” and “unauthorised disclosure of personal data” as reasons for the decision.

“The Board wishes to clearly state that there will be no extension of the registration deadline,” the statement emphasised.
