Rite Foods Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to societal development through innovation, integrity, accountability and excellence, highlighting investments in product development, sustainable manufacturing and community initiatives as key pillars of its corporate strategy.
The company disclosed this during a media immersion programme at its production facility in Ososa, Ogun State, on October 15, 2026, where it showcased its manufacturing operations, product portfolio and social impact initiatives.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Mr. Ekuma Eze, said the company’s core values guide its business decisions, stakeholder relationships and contributions to society.
He identified integrity, excellence, innovation and accountability as the principles driving its operations, stressing the importance of responsible business practices and continuous improvement in meeting changing consumer needs.
Eze cited the introduction of Lida Malt, fortified with essential vitamins, as an example of the company’s commitment to product innovation and consumer wellbeing. He added that the Bigi range had expanded to 13 flavours, while Fearless energy drink was available in Classic and Red Berry variants.
On sustainability, he disclosed that the company’s solar farm generates approximately one megawatt of electricity, while natural gas accounts for about 92 per cent of its energy consumption, reflecting efforts to improve efficiency and reduce its environmental footprint.
Regarding community development, Eze said Rite Foods had provided recycled schoolbags to 2,000 pupils across nine schools, supported healthcare infrastructure and improved access to free water. The company also established an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) centre serving more than 400 students daily, alongside providing free meals.
He described Rite Foods as a proudly Nigerian company demonstrating that indigenous businesses could achieve world-class manufacturing standards through investments in people, technology and product quality. Incorporated in 2007 as part of Ess-ay Holdings Group, the company entered the beverage market in 2016 with brands including Bigi, Fearless and Sosa.
Also speaking, the Head of Marketing, Toyin Nnodi, said consumer insights remained central to the company’s marketing strategy, noting that understanding evolving preferences was essential to maintaining brand relevance and delivering value.
The Plant Manager, Mr. Henry Ohikhuai, explained that modern technologies installed at the facility supported faster and more reliable production.
Meanwhile, the Chairman and Chief Consultant of TPT International, Adetokunbo Modupe, urged journalists to use factory visits and direct engagement with manufacturers to improve public understanding of Nigeria’s industrial sector.
He said constructive media engagement promotes transparency, strengthens public trust and highlights indigenous companies’ contributions to economic growth. Modupe also encouraged Nigerians to support credible local businesses to strengthen the industrial base, create jobs and enhance the country’s international reputation.
He maintained that firsthand exposure to manufacturing operations would enable journalists to report more accurately on local businesses, their innovations and challenges, expressing confidence in the ability of Nigerian enterprises to succeed.
The company explained that production levels varied according to market demand, with figures presented during the programme indicating output rates of 42,000 and 72,000 units per hour and daily production reaching 500,000 bottles.
The programme gave journalists firsthand insights into how Rite Foods integrates corporate values, innovation, sustainability and social responsibility into its business operations.
