Oyemike reaffirms commitment to development despite replacement as NDC candidate

The former Deputy Governorship candidate for NDC in Delta State, Hon. Valentine Nneoma Oyemike has reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of his people despite the replacement of his name in the list published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), noting that service to humanity is a personal conviction, not a political ambition.

In a statement released yesterday, Oyemike maintained that genuine service to humanity transcends political positions, electoral contests and personal ambitions.

According to him, public office remains an opportunity to serve, not a position to be pursued at all costs. His passion for community development, youth empowerment and improving the lives of ordinary people predates his recent political engagements and will continue beyond them.

“Leadership is not defined by the office we occupy, but by the positive difference we make in the lives of others. My desire to contribute to the development of our people has never been dependent on holding political office, and that conviction remains unchanged.

“My primary concern remains the progress of his people and the collective development of Ndokwa Nation and Delta State.

” I will continue to make modest contributions towards community development, human capacity building, youth empowerment and humanitarian interventions, within the limits of available resources.

“Political positions may change, but my commitment to the people remains constant. I will continue to do the little I can, whenever I can, and lend my voice to every genuine effort aimed at advancing the development and well-being of our communities,” he added.

As the political atmosphere gradually builds towards 2027, Oyemike’s calm disposition offers a quiet reminder that politics need not always be a contest of desperation, bitterness or personal entitlement.
