 On these metrics, Senator Benson Agadaga has established himself as one of the most active lawmakers representing the South-South region.

Key Sponsored Bills and Motions

Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA) Act Amendment Bill: Sponsored an amendment bill to alter the provisions of the BCDA Act (2006) to insert additional neglected maritime border communities across Bayelsa East into federal development frameworks.  

South-South Development Commission Bill: Co-sponsored the landmark bill establishing the South-South Development Commission to drive regional economic expansion.  

Oloibiri Airforce Base Conversion Motion: Submitted a national motion urging the Federal Government to convert the historic, abandoned Shell Airstrip at Oloibiri Oil Well 1 (Otuogidi, Ogbia LGA) into a modern Nigerian Air Force Base to enhance regional waterway security.  

Ocean Surge Intervention Motion: 

Raised an urgent national motion demanding immediate Federal Government intervention to address severe ocean surges and coastal encroachment destroying Odioma and Sangana communities in Brass LGA.  

National Railway Extension Motion: Moved a crucial strategic motion urging the extension of national railway networks from Warri (Delta State) through Bayelsa State, and from Itakpe (Kogi State) to Abuja.  

National Discovery Day Recognition Motion: Submitted a motion urging the Federal Government to officially recognize and declare the day oil was first struck at Oloibiri as a National Day.  

Beyond plenary contributions, Senator Agadaga has facilitated over 28 verified constituency projects across Bayelsa East:

Landing Jetties Construction Completed Akakumama (Nembe), Otuabula 1 (Ogbia), Ologoghe (Ogbia)

Concrete Road Networks Completed & Ongoing Opu-Nembe, Ogbia Town, Ologoghe

Educational Support & Grants. Educational grants distributed to students across Ogbia, Nembe & Brass

Solar Energy Deployment Completed, Provision and installation of solar street lights in the Ologoghe area

Empowerment Equipment and Micro-Assets Completed. Laptops, sewing machines, grinding machines and refrigerators for youths and women

Agricultural and Maritime Equipment Completed Fishing boats, agricultural nets, and input supplies for riverine communities
