Nigerian artist, A&R and executive producer, Kiing LU, has released a new single, “Get Up (Dance),” blending contemporary Drill with the traditional sound of Fuji music.
The song, released on September 18, 2026, features Nigerian singer Liya, Hip-Hop artiste Bkay EastGaad and Afro singer Nextee, who brings a strong Fuji influence to the record.
Kiing LU said the song reflects his attempt to combine the indigenous Nigerian sounds he grew up listening to with the Hip-Hop culture that later shaped his musical identity.
“I grew up listening to a lot of Nigerian indigenous music and I found my voice through Hip-Hop. I wanted to know what would happen if indigenous sounds met the sound I love. ‘Get Up (Dance)’ is my answer,” he said.
According to the artiste, the record is part of his broader effort to explore the possibilities of African Drill while retaining a strong connection to Nigerian culture.
He said “Get Up (Dance)” demonstrates how Drill can evolve through the incorporation of indigenous sounds and musical traditions.
The single is available across major streaming platforms.
