Agodi Technologies is emerging as one of the African technology companies seeking to demonstrate that globally competitive digital products can be built from the continent and scaled beyond it.
Founded and led by Stephen Oladeji, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, the technology group has developed a portfolio of more than 20 live digital products spanning education, healthcare, legal services, digital identity, fintech, entertainment and other sectors.
Oladeji said the company’s approach is centred on identifying practical problems faced by African users and developing technology-driven solutions that can meet international standards.
“We built Agodi to prove that world-class technology can be born in Africa and serve the world,” Oladeji said.
“Our focus has always been on solving meaningful problems, not simply building technology for technology’s sake.”
Among the products developed by the group is SchoolID, a digital operating system for schools designed to provide secure digital identities for students and staff.
Another product, Sisi Nurse, connects families and healthcare facilities with verified nurses and doctors, while Legal Buddy operates as a legal marketplace incorporating AI-powered triage.
The company’s technology portfolio also includes IDVero, an identity-verification infrastructure platform, and AfriStream, an AI-native entertainment and streaming platform.
Beyond these products, Agodi Technologies operates more than 15 additional digital platforms covering areas such as fintech, marketplaces, travel and smart-home technology.
The company said its products are already reaching users and markets across Africa and Asia as it continues to pursue opportunities for international expansion.
Oladeji leads the company alongside a management team responsible for technology, finance and regional growth across Africa and Asia. Under his leadership, Agodi has continued to expand its product portfolio while developing partnerships aimed at strengthening its infrastructure and international reach.
The company was recently named a Preferred Pan-African Partner for SynxDB cloud data infrastructure and is also expanding its presence in Southern Africa through a dedicated partnerships team.
For Oladeji, the continent’s technology opportunity goes beyond developing solutions exclusively for African markets.
He believes African technology companies can build products capable of competing internationally when they are developed around genuine market needs and subjected to rigorous standards.
“Africa is not a test market; it is a proving ground,” he said.
“The products that succeed here are products that solve real problems under real conditions.”
He added that Agodi’s ambition extends beyond creating individual successful products, with the company seeking to establish a technology group capable of developing and operating businesses across multiple sectors.
“We want to build companies and products that can stand on their own anywhere in the world, while remaining deeply connected to the problems and opportunities we understand in Africa,” Oladeji said.
With additional products and partnerships planned through 2026 and into 2027, Agodi Technologies is continuing its expansion across Africa and other international markets.
Oladeji described the company’s portfolio of more than 20 live products as an important milestone, but said it represents only the beginning of the group’s longer-term ambition.
“Our journey is still at an early stage,” he said.
“Twenty-plus live products are a significant milestone, but they represent the foundation for what we believe can become a truly global technology group built from Africa.”
Agodi Technologies describes its strategy as Africa-first and global in ambition, focusing on developing digital solutions around real problems, testing them within demanding African markets and scaling successful products to other parts of the world.
