Nigerian enterprise compliance technology company Pronalytics has been accredited by the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), formerly the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), as a System Integrator for the country’s mandatory e-invoicing program. The accreditation positions the company to connect businesses’ existing accounting and ERP systems to the NRS Merchant Buyer Solution (MBS) platform for real-time invoice validation and digital tax reporting.
The NRS e-invoicing mandate requires businesses to transmit invoices through the MBS platform in a government-prescribed format. A System Integrator is the licensed entity responsible for making that happen technically: taking whatever invoicing, accounting, or ERP software a business already runs, converting its output into the format the NRS requires, and managing the validation cycle between the business’s systems and the government platform. The accreditation is issued after a review process that includes the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), which assesses applicant firms on technical capability, data security, and governance standards.
“Accreditation isn’t a badge. It’s a responsibility. Somebody’s tax record is now our problem too. We are SI,” said Bob Nzelu, Co-Founder and CTO, Pronalytics.
Nzelu’s point speaks to something specific about the System Integrator role that separates it from a typical technology vendor relationship. Because the SI sits between a business’s internal systems and a government tax platform, the accuracy and reliability of every invoice that passes through the connection is the integrator’s direct responsibility. A formatting error, a failed transmission, or a validation mismatch does not just create a technical ticket. It creates a compliance problem for the business on the other end.
Pronalytics delivers its e-invoicing and compliance capabilities through TaxAnchor360, a platform the company built for what it calls “continuous compliance,” the idea that tax and regulatory obligations are not annual filing events but ongoing operational requirements that need to be handled in real time, every day, as transactions happen. TaxAnchor360 handles NRS e-invoicing alongside tax intelligence and CBN compliance functions, giving finance teams a single platform for obligations that would otherwise require separate tools and workflows.
The company has paired the System Integrator accreditation with a partnership with Remita, an NRS-accredited Access Point Provider (APP). The MBS framework splits e-invoicing compliance into two functional stages: the System Integrator connects and converts, while the Access Point Provider handles the secure, encrypted transmission of invoice data to the NRS. By partnering with an accredited APP, Pronalytics says it can cover both stages through a single engagement, removing the need for businesses to contract separately for integration and transmission.
The timing of the accreditation matters because the NRS mandate is actively expanding. The initial phase brought in Nigeria’s largest taxpayers, those with annual turnover above N5 billion. The next tiers, businesses between N1 billion and N5 billion and eventually those below N1 billion, are entering the mandate on a rolling basis. For many of these organizations, the challenge is not awareness of the requirement but the practical work of connecting systems they already use to a government platform they have never had to interact with before.
“Becoming an accredited System Integrator reinforces what we are building at Pronalytics: the technology, processes and people that businesses can trust to manage compliance properly. In a regulated environment, the standard you operate at matters. We are building the infrastructure that makes compliance easier, more reliable and more manageable for businesses,” said Tolu Animashaun, Co-Founder and COO, Pronalytics.
Pronalytics is listed on the NRS Merchant Buyer Solution service providers directory at mbs.gov.ng/service-providers-directory. Businesses can verify the company’s System Integrator status directly on the portal. For more information on NRS e-invoicing compliance, visit pronalytics.ng/taxanchor360.
