The Sardaunan Gombe and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has felicitated Muslims in Gombe State, Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a goodwill message, Gwamna urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on and emulate the teachings and virtues of the Prophet, particularly his messages of peace, compassion, patience, tolerance, justice and love for humanity.

He said these virtues remained relevant to the task of building a peaceful, united and progressive society.

“As we celebrate Eid-ul-Maulud, may the life, humility, compassion and peace exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) inspire us to become better people and contribute to building a kinder, more united and prosperous society.

“May this blessed occasion renew our faith, strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and unity, and fill our homes with peace, our hearts with love, and our lives with Allah’s abundant blessings,” he said.

Gwamna also urged Muslims and other residents to sustain prayers for lasting peace and progress in Gombe State and Nigeria, particularly an end to insecurity and other challenges confronting the country.

He called on citizens to promote unity, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence, stressing that collective commitment to peace and unity was essential to national development.

The APC governorship candidate further appealed to residents to celebrate responsibly, observe necessary precautions and comply with traffic regulations while marking the occasion.

He wished Muslims a peaceful and blessed Eid-ul-Maulud celebration and prayed for continued divine guidance for the country’s leaders and citizens towards peace, unity, prosperity and progress.
