NCDMB trains 40 Warri youths in cybersecurity, computer networking

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has concluded a five-day training programme on computer networking and cybersecurity for 40 youths in Warri, Delta State, as part of efforts to build local capacity and promote employment in Nigeria’s technology sector.

The training, which began on June 29 and ended on Friday, was organised by Divine Communications Integrated Services Limited on behalf of the NCDMB.

Participants received intensive training in network fundamentals, ethical hacking, threat detection, data protection and best practices for securing digital infrastructure.

The programme also featured practical sessions using laptops and specialised training software to equip participants with hands-on skills.

At the closing ceremony, certificates of participation were presented to all 40 beneficiaries.

The organisers also distributed startup kits, branded materials and empowerment items to support the participants as they pursue careers or establish businesses in the ICT and cybersecurity sector.

Speaking at the event, a representative of Divine Communications Integrated Services Limited said the initiative aligns with the NCDMB’s mandate to strengthen local capacity and create sustainable employment opportunities for Nigerian youths through technology-driven skills development.
