Two partners, Qshelter Limited and M.I. Okoro & Associates have launched “Real Estate Today”, a weekly television magazine programme designed to create awareness, educate, inform, and empower the general public on property and environment issues.

Unveiling the TV programme at a joint briefing in Lagos over the weekend, Chief Innocent Meckson Okoro, Founding Partner of M.I. Okoro & Associates, and Mr. Oludare Makinde, Chief Marketing Officer of QShelter Limited, represented their firms respectively.

Chief Chinedu Mbakwe, DG, Business Operations at M.I. Okoro & Associates; the digital marketing teams of both organisations were also at the launch.

In his speech, M. I. Okoro recalled the earlier engagement with the media on December 30, 2025, when the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between QShelter Ltd and M.I. Okoro & Associates for the marketing of major national housing projects, including Renewed Hope Estate in Karsana, Abuja; Janguza Estate in Kano; and the 2004 Estate by the Coastal Road in Lekki, Lagos, took place.

M. I. Okoro, disclosed the partnership, which has flourished significantly since then, and continuous engagement with the public has revealed critical gaps, such as lack of accessible, reliable, and structured information on real estate and environmental issues by Nigerians, especially on electronic media, which necessitated the launch of Real Estate Today.

According to Chief Okoro, “That is why M.I. Okoro & Qshelter Ltd thought it very necessary to launch Real Estate Today on the Television in its first phase and shall extend to a Radio programme on Real Estate and Environmental segments cum a weekly magazine programme aimed at adequately informing and educating the general public in this important sector of the Nigerian economy. We see this selfless project as our Corporate Social Responsibility to assist the Nigerian Government to bridge the yawning gap in information as it concerns Real Estate and Environment in Nigeria,” emphasising that the “Real Estate Today which is being launched now, will be a serious catalyst and platform to talk and discuss issues relating to Housing and Environment in Nigeria.

Expressing the urgent need for market transparency, the empowerment of local investors, and structured information to tackle Nigeria’s housing shortage, he said the Real Estate Today is an educational and informative television programme designed to provide viewers with reliable, practical, and up-to-date information about the real estate industry, adding that the programme focuses on property investment, housing development, land acquisition, documentation, and property management.

He noted that in many parts of Nigeria and across the world, real estate remains one of the most important sectors for wealth creation and economic development, but he lamented that many individuals lack adequate knowledge about the processes in buying property, verifying land titles, avoiding fraudulent transactions and identifying genuine investment opportunities.

He specifically disclosed that Real Estate Today aims to bridge this information gap by bringing industry professionals and experts together to educate and guide viewers.

Okoro said the TV programme will feature interviews, discussions, field reports and property showcases that will highlight opportunities within the real estate market as well as address the common challenges faced by property buyers and investors and provide solutions that viewers can apply in real life.

“The programme will educate viewers on the processes involved in buying land and property, provide information on land documentation such as certificate of occupancy, Deed of Assignment and Governor’s Consent, highlight new housing development and real estate investment opportunities, promote transparency and professionalism within the real estate industry, guide prospective buyers and investors on how to avoid fraudulent land transactions, create awareness about government policies and regulations affecting real estate.

“The programme will run for approximately 30 minutes per episode and will be broadcast on a weekly basis for a wide audience, including prospective homeowners, real estate investors, property developers, entrepreneurs and business owners, young professionals interested in property investment and members of the general public seeking reliable information about real estate.

“The Real Estate Today with the tagline- Your Guide to Smart Property Investment will be aired weekly on NTA NETWORK every Tuesday by 5pm -5.30pm, Arise Television every Wednesday, Channels TV, and TVC with Mariyam Anazodo as the presenter.”

In his remarks. Mr. Makinde described Real Estate Today as a “selfless Corporate Social Responsibility initiative” aimed at supporting the Nigerian government and empowering citizens with knowledge that protects them from fraudulent transactions and uninformed investments.
