Ontario-based songwriter and singer ‘D Howell is gearing up to release his latest single, a project he describes as a major milestone in his career and creative journey.

Born Damien Howell, the Jamaican artist has carved a niche for blending modern production with honest, emotionally grounded songwriting. His music, he says, is rooted in authenticity and storytelling, shaped by personal experiences of resilience and growth.

“As a self-produced artist, I maintain full creative control over my recordings, from beat production to vocal performance and final master ownership,” D Howell said. “My goal is to create music that reflects lived experience and connects with listeners who are looking for honesty and relatability in contemporary music.

The singer handles writing, producing, and mastering all his own material. For him, the process is about building a distinct sonic identity and contributing meaningfully to the independent music scene.
