Buga Games unveils digital reward platform

…crowns first ₦1m Jackpot Winner, Unveils Brand Ambassadors

By Gift ChapiOdekina, Abuja

Buga Games, a newly launched digital entertainment and reward platform, has officially entered the Nigerian market with the unveiling of its brand ambassadors and the emergence of its first ₦1 million jackpot winner during a live draw in Lagos.

The launch event, attended by industry stakeholders, media practitioners, gaming enthusiasts and guests, marked the public debut of the platform, which is licensed by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority and aims to deliver technology-driven gaming with transparent cash rewards.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Buga Games, Uche Nwakamma, said the platform was conceived from his desire to create opportunities that inspire confidence and hope among Nigerians.

He recalled that the idea was born more than eight years ago while operating a business opposite a mechanical workshop, where he observed many people yearning for financial success and the confidence that comes with winning.

“Many people want more than money; they want the feeling of being winners. Some have never experienced that before. Winning gives confidence and encourages them to believe they can succeed in other aspects of life,” he said.

According to Nwakamma, active development of the platform commenced in May 2025 after partnering with technology consultant Olabode Ayode and software engineers Olufemi and Femi Adesina.

He said the team spent over a year designing, testing and refining the platform before its public launch.

Buga Games operates three gaming categories. Participants register on the platform, purchase gaming coins and receive a unique four-digit code for each entry. Winning numbers are generated through an automated daily draw conducted at 5 p.m.

The Solo Game offers a top prize of ₦300,000 from a ₦1,000 stake, the Special Game pays ₦700,000 from a ₦3,000 entry, while the Jackpot Game offers a grand prize of ₦1 million for a ₦5,000 stake.

Software engineer Olufemi stressed that the platform was the product of collective effort rather than the work of a single individual.

“I want to correct the impression that I am the only brain behind this project. We have a team of brilliant minds who worked tirelessly to make this happen. Everyone contributed significantly to the success of Buga Games,” he said.

The company also unveiled its team of brand ambassadors and digital influencers expected to promote the platform across the country.

Leading the team is family content creator Mistydence, popularly known as Ehi B. Adetu, who pledged to use his platform to educate users on responsible participation while supporting humanitarian causes.

“It is a privilege and a huge responsibility. I intend to create content that helps people understand the platform while also using the opportunity to support communities and assist people in need,” he said.

Digital influencer Motell Solomon described his appointment as an opportunity to connect more people with the platform, while comedian Isaac Joseph, popularly known as Koboko, said he accepted the partnership after conducting due diligence on the company.

“In this difficult economic period, people need opportunities they can trust. I took time to study the brand before identifying with it, and I am happy to be part of the journey,” he said.
The highlight of the event was the live jackpot draw, which produced information technology consultant Anthony Woodo as the platform’s first ₦1 million winner.

Woodo said he purchased one ₦1,000 entry and one ₦5,000 jackpot ticket, bringing his total stake to ₦6,000.
“This feels like money from heaven. When my name was announced, I immediately thought about people around me who constantly seek support. I have already given ₦100,000 to a friend here. My advice is that people should approach it as entertainment while understanding that the process is transparent,” he said.

Also honoured during the event was Olabode Ayanda, one of the pioneer members involved in the development of the platform, who described the launch as the culmination of months of planning and hard work.

Buga Games said it intends to expand its operations nationwide through partnerships with transport unions, digital content creators and media organisations as part of efforts to increase public awareness of the platform.
