APC chair inaugurates PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, urges grassroots mobilisation ahead of 2027

ABUJA — National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has inaugurated the national executives of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, urging members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the inauguration in Abuja, Yilwatda charged members of the movement to engage Nigerians directly at the community level, saying electoral victories are built through personal interaction with voters.

According to him, “Every door you knock on will become a vote; every heart you win will become a voice that will echo the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

He tasked the movement’s leadership to embark on house-to-house campaigns across the country.

“Your assignment is simple: knock on every door, house to house,” he said, adding that elections are won through grassroots engagement rather than media campaigns.

“Elections are not won on TV or on social media. They are won in marketplaces, in villages,” the APC chairman said.

Looking ahead to the 2027 polls, Yilwatda described the election as “a choice between moving forward and moving backwards, between reform and retreat.”

The inauguration, held in Abuja, was attended by governors, traditional rulers and senior federal lawmakers, underscoring the significance the ruling party attaches to the mobilisation initiative.

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, founded by Tompolo, said its newly inaugurated national executives would commence nationwide grassroots outreach immediately as part of efforts to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
