The Chief of Staff to Osun State Governor, Kazeem Akinleye, has called on artisans across Edeland to participate in the August 15 governorship election and support the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Akinleye made the appeal during a town hall meeting organised by the Forum of Ede Youth Development Association (FEYDA), which brought together more than 85 artisan groups and associations from Ede North and Ede South.
He described artisans as critical stakeholders in the state’s economy and commended them for their continued support for the Adeleke administration.
Highlighting the achievements of the government, Akinleye cited infrastructure development, youth empowerment programmes and other people-centred policies aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
According to him, the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and development across various sectors justifies the need for continuity.
He urged artisans and other eligible voters to support Adeleke’s second-term bid, saying another term would enable the administration to consolidate on its achievements and deliver more development projects.
Akinleye also encouraged artisan associations to strengthen their cooperative structures to improve access to government empowerment programmes, financial assistance, skills training and other interventions.
Representatives of the artisan groups, in their responses, pledged to mobilise their members to participate in the election and support Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid.
