OWERRI — The Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN) says it has established structures across the South-East aimed at mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The group’s Deputy National Leader (South-East), Mazi Franklin Ngoforo, disclosed this during a press briefing in Owerri, Imo State, on Thursday.

According to Ngoforo, RHGN has set a target of delivering four million votes for the President from the five South-East states.

He said the organisation has established structures at the state, senatorial district, local government and ward levels, as well as campus wings in federal and state-owned tertiary institutions and market-based mobilisation units across the region.

Ngoforo also announced plans to inaugurate a 50-member team at every polling unit in the South-East to mobilise voters and support the electoral process during the 2027 elections.

He said the group believes its grassroots network will strengthen voter mobilisation across the region.

Speaking on the Tinubu administration’s performance, Ngoforo commended ongoing federal road projects in the South-East, citing the reconstruction of the Enugu–Makurdi Road, Enugu–Onitsha Expressway and Enugu–Umuahia Road as evidence of increased infrastructure investment in the zone.

He argued that improved road infrastructure would boost commercial activities and enhance economic opportunities for residents, noting that the South-East’s economy depends heavily on trade and transportation.

Ngoforo also commended the administration’s efforts in addressing security challenges in the region and expressed optimism about continued federal engagement with the South-East.
