PORT HARCOURT: A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Sir Lucky Workuh, has stated that the political ideologies and philosophies of the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, is changing the narratives of the polity of the state.

Worluh, who is the oldest President of Ikwerre Youth Movement, IYM, noted that the Rainbow Coalition in the state is a unifying factor that has instilled peace in the polity of the state.

The APC chieftain, who spoke while delivering a goodwill message at the inauguration of the Rainbow Coalition for Emohua Local Government Area of the state at Rumuji Town thanked a former Chairman of the LGA, and Director General of National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, NOSDRA, Chief Emeka Woke, for his quality leadership that has united the people of the area.

Worluh while referencing the just concluded primaries of major political parties in the state, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, APC, Labour Party, LP, and Action Alliance, AA, said candidates were elected in a peaceful manner, a brain child of the coalition.

He said the peace that reigned during the process was following the ideologies of the FCT Minister, recalling that primaries of political parties in the state use to end in crises and bloodshed.

He noted that such narrative of crises during election has since changed with the existence of the coalition, promising that his team would work to deliver candidates of the coalition in all the elections that would be conducted in the area in 2027.

Worlu said: “Let us go straight to the business of the day. We like to speak the truth. Those who know Lucky know me for the truth. There is one man from Rumuepirikom, who came up with an ideology that some persons may not understand.

“An encyclopaedia or a Dictionary will have a meaning, when you say what is the meaning of that man, it will define it. But this man from Rumuepirikom as we keep on reading him as an encyclopaedia, we cannot define him.

“Every day, different ideologies, different programmes and different policies. I want to say this to put it on record. You can only be a general in politics or a captain to understand the peace that we have enjoyed in the recent primaries that took place in Rivers State.

“That was only possible because of the ideology and philosophy of Rainbow Coalition, on common wisdom.

“A lot of people have died in the process of primary election. Most of us are from this local government remember the days of Chidi Lloyd. We give glory to God.

“Finally, because there is no time for us to speak much. Here standing is the oldest chairman of IYM. I have moved to support this movement and I am moving with everything that is with me.

“When I come, I work. When I work, my work is total. We will deliver all the candidates. We are here. Rundele people are like the Hausa of those days. When we say yes this is where we are going, we are going.

“We want government officers. We want to make people. When we say here is where we are going, we are going.”
