ABUJA – A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former Organising Secretary of the party for the South-South zone, Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, has hailed Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration for what he described as “unprecedented” developmental strides across Edo State since the governor assumed office in November 2024.

Agbomhere, who is the Chief Operating Officer of UBIIJUS Intelligence, an Oil, Gas, Marine, Environment, Natural Resources, Security, Law and Business Development Consulting Firm, in a statement he personally signed, said Governor Okpebholo’s “commitment to infrastructural renewal, security enhancement and environmental sustainability has ushered in a new era of progress and development across the state.”

He pointed to the massive reconstruction and rehabilitation of critical road networks — most notably the landmark Ramat Park Flyover in Benin City — as evidence of the governor’s determination to transform Edo.

According to him, the flyover, built to tackle the chronic congestion at the strategic Ramat Park axis linking the Benin–Auchi and Benin–Asaba expressways, “has become a symbol of purposeful leadership and visionary governance.”

He also highlighted the ongoing rehabilitation of sections of Sapele Road and other key routes, saying these interventions are “restoring confidence in government and improving the quality of life of residents.”

He commended the administration’s expansion of drainage works aimed at reducing flooding and supporting urban development, noting these projects “have demonstrated the governor’s resolve to address longstanding environmental and ecological challenges confronting communities across Edo State.”

Agbomhere further commended Okpebholo’s push to strengthen the state’s security architecture through “sustained collaboration with security agencies,” adding that the provision of logistics and operational resources has “significantly improved the security situation in the state while boosting investor confidence and economic activities.”

He further added: “Governor Monday Okpebholo has, within a short period in office, demonstrated uncommon courage, vision and commitment to the development of Edo State. His administration’s achievements in infrastructure, security, environmental management and public service delivery have set a new benchmark for governance in our state.”

The legal practitioner assured the governor of his continued support for policies that advance sustainable development, environmental protection and better living conditions for Edo residents, and urged citizens to stay behind the administration’s agenda, expressing confidence that the governor’s “people-centred policies would deliver even greater dividends of democracy in the years ahead.”
