Leadership, key to start-up development — Oluranti, real estate expert

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senator representing Ogun West district in the 10th Assembly, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola and the Olu of Ilaro, HRM Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, are some of high profile dignitaries expected at the launch of three books authored by ‎real estate mogul, Dr. Jerry Oluranti, Chief Executive Officer of Amazon Apartment.

A statement by Oluranti sent to Vanguard,  said the books titled: “The Power of starting small: Bold Dreams, Lasting Impact; The Psychology of Giving: why we help others; and “The Leadership of small things: Small acts, Great Impacts”, will be launched by ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo at Amazon Club and Multipurpose Event, Ilaro, Ogun State June 28, 2026.

‎‎While speaking on one of the books: “The Power of starting small: Bold Dreams, Lasting Impact,” the real estate mogul turn author said the book is written for people who are afraid of starting a business because if the fear of starting small. Leadership is key, he said.

‎‎Oluranti said, “According to the content, most very great achievements do not look great when they first begin. They often appear small, ordinary, hidden, unimpressive, and sometimes even uncertain. 

‎‎”Many meaningful dreams begin as simple ideas, small steps, little opportunities, or quiet efforts that may not attract immediate attention.

‎‎”The book teaches that greatness rarely begins with grand gestures. It often begins with humble beginnings, consistent actions, and the willingness to keep building even when the result is not yet visible.

‎‎”The book challenges readers to overcome the fear of starting small. Many people delay their dreams because they are afraid their beginning does not look impressive enough. They fear being judged, overlooked, underestimated, or misunderstood. The Power of Starting Small confronts that fear by showing that a small beginning is not a sign of failure; it can be the foundation for lasting impact.

“The book encourages readers to stop waiting for perfect conditions and begin with what they have, where they are.

‎‎He said that the book mentions five elements for people to achieve great success. ‎‎”Three of the small elements mentioned are: A small step, A small opportunity‎, A small idea. Other possible answers include a little resource, a little strength, a little knowledge, or a quiet beginning. The message is that when small things are handled with vision, discipline, and consistency, they can grow into something significant,” he added.
