The immediate past Vice-Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Mrs Elizabeth Kappo, has congratulated Princess Damilola Sonayon James on her emergence as the All Progressives Congress, APC, deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.

Kappo, in a statement made available to journalists on Friday, described James’ selection by the leadership of the ruling party in Lagos State as a welcome development and a source of pride for the people of Badagry.
According to her, the nomination reflects James’ years of commitment, loyalty and service to the party and the people.
She said: “This remarkable achievement is a clear testament to your dedication, loyalty, competence and years of selfless service to both the party and the people.

“As the APC Deputy Women Leader and Supervisor for Agriculture and Social Services, Damilola James has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership capacity, commitment to community development, women empowerment, grassroots mobilisation and humanitarian service.”

Kappo noted that James’ emergence was not only significant for the APC but also for Badagry, which she said has continued to produce leaders contributing to the development of Lagos State.

“Your emergence is not only a victory for the APC family but also a proud moment for the good people of Badagry, who continue to produce capable, intelligent and visionary leaders contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of Lagos State,” she said.

Expressing confidence in James’ ability to perform in her new role, Kappo said the APC deputy governorship candidate would bring her experience and people-centred leadership style to support efforts aimed at advancing the development of the state.

“I am confident that you will bring your wealth of experience, passion for service and people-oriented leadership style to bear in supporting the vision of a greater and more prosperous Lagos State,” she added.
Kappo also wished James wisdom, strength, good health and success as she prepares for the 2027 governorship contest.
