Dynasty Africa makes history at Cannes as agency marks fifth year of operations

Dynasty Africa, one of Africa’s foremost full-service marketing and creative agencies, has achieved a historic double milestone: the agency is celebrating its fifth year in operations while simultaneously etching its name in global advertising history as the first African agency to win the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards’ coveted Dolphin Trophy.

The international jury at the 2025 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards awarded Dynasty Africa the prestigious Dolphin Trophy in the Social Media Videos (B25) category for its acclaimed production, “Fair Luxury.”

The category drew entries from 52 countries, making the victory a statement of world-class creative excellence on the most competitive of global stages. Dynasty Africa also becomes only the fourth African agency in history to win a Cannes award of any kind.

Founded five years ago with a bold conviction that African creativity belongs in the global conversation, Dynasty Africa has grown from an ambitious Lagos-based startup into a continent-leading agency with presence in Western, Eastern, and Southern Africa, trusted by brands seeking culturally rooted, strategically driven, and internationally competitive marketing solutions. From its earliest campaigns to its award-winning body of work today, the agency has consistently championed the narrative that Africa is not just a market to be served, but a creative powerhouse to be reckoned with.

“Dynasty Africa is a Cannes Dolphin Award winner,” said Dayo Adedeji, CEO and Founder of Dynasty Africa. “We built this agency believing that African creative work deserves a global stage. Turns out, the world agrees. To the team at Dynasty Africa, this one belongs to all of us.”

Reflecting on the spiritual and historical weight of the moment, Adedeji added: “I’m grateful to God for this historic feat. Dynasty Africa becomes the first African agency ever to win the Global Cannes Dolphin Award, and the fourth African agency ever to win a Cannes award. It can only be God.”

The B25 Social Media category remains one of the most competitive at Cannes, representing the front line of brand and consumer engagement. To win is to demonstrate not merely creative flair, but the strategic ability to translate audience attention into measurable, meaningful brand value.

“Fair Luxury,” Dynasty Africa’s winning production, exemplified precisely that a work rooted in African perspective, executed with global sophistication, and resonant enough to stand out among entries from 52 nations across the world.

As Dynasty Africa marks its fifth anniversary, this landmark recognition sets the tone for the next chapter of the agency’s evolution. The agency reaffirms its commitment to producing world-class creative work for brands across Africa and beyond, while continuing to open doors for a new generation of African marketing and media professionals on the international stage.
