
The Association of Event Vendors Nigeria, ASSEV, has sworn-in a newly elected executives to pilot the affairs of the association, with a pledge to strengthen collaboration and advance the event industry in Nigeria.
The newly inaugurated executive team includes: Tolulope Oluwafemi, President; Abolude Eniola Timothy, Vice President; Dorathy Nwamife, General Secretary; Doris Evbu Ese, Financial Director; Fatima Omobolanle Salami, Public Relations Officer; Chiamaka Nnoka, Welfare Director; Mosunmola Olagunju, Education Director; Dr. Oladokun Oluwafemi M., Event Director; Princess Adeshola Kadri, Assistant Welfare Director; and Fabuluje Oluwaseyi Nifemi, Assistant General Secretary.
The new President of the association, Tolulope Oluwafemi, disclosed in a statement, saying, the new executives would serve with professionalism, integrity, and a shared commitment to fostering collaboration, improving communication, and creating opportunities for members and the industry at large.
Oluwafemi stated that ASSEV is a professional body that brings together stakeholders from different sectors of the event industry, including event planners, decorators, caterers, rental vendors, photographers, makeup artists, MCs, ushers, and other event professionals.
The statement further noted that the association is focused on promoting excellence, encouraging partnerships, supporting professional development, and providing a platform for networking and growth.
She explained that the continued progress of ASSEV depends on the active involvement, support and participation of its members, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in achieving the association’s goals.
Oluwafemi appealed to event professionals who are yet to join the association to take advantage of opportunities available through ASSEV, including industry exposure, mentorship, collaborations, training, and business support.
Concluding, the statement said, “The new administration is focused on building a stronger, more connected, and more impactful association that continues to champion the interests and development of event professionals across Nigeria.”
