Anioma Group appeals for inclusive APC candidate selection process in Delta North

A group known as Anioma Conscience has called for an inclusive, transparent and democratic process in the selection of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Delta North Senatorial District.

The appeal was contained in an open letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and signed by Prof. David Echefune on behalf of the group.

According to the letter, the group believes the forthcoming senatorial contest presents an opportunity to strengthen internal party democracy and encourage broader participation among party members and stakeholders.

Anioma Conscience urged party leaders and stakeholders to ensure that the candidate-selection process is conducted in a manner that promotes fairness, unity and confidence among members.

The group stated that a transparent process would help consolidate support within the party and contribute to its electoral prospects in Delta State.

It also emphasized the importance of inclusiveness, consultation and adherence to democratic principles in political decision-making.

The letter called on party leaders to adopt approaches that encourage cohesion and broad-based participation ahead of future elections.

Anioma Conscience further appealed for decisions that would foster confidence among party members and reinforce the values of justice, inclusion and democratic engagement.

The group concluded by urging all stakeholders to prioritize unity, due process and the long-term interests of the party and its supporters in Delta North.
