Niger Delta ex-agitator and philanthropist, ‘General’ Endurance Amagbein, has called on Nigerians to remain calm and united in the face of the country’s security challenges, expressing optimism that ongoing efforts by security agencies will ultimately restore peace and stability across the nation.

Amagbein, popularly known as “Adaka Boro II,” made the appeal in a statement issued in Abuja at the weekend, where he acknowledged the hardships faced by victims of insecurity and their families while urging citizens not to lose faith in the country’s future.

He said the fight against banditry, kidnapping, terrorism and other violent crimes requires the collective support of all Nigerians, stressing that lasting security can only be achieved through cooperation between citizens and government institutions.

According to him, although insecurity remains a major concern, significant efforts are being made by security agencies to tackle the challenge and safeguard lives and property.

Amagbein expressed sympathy for Nigerians who have suffered losses as a result of criminal activities, noting that the pain and anxiety experienced by affected families are shared by many across the country.

Despite the challenges, he maintained that there is hope for a safer and more secure Nigeria, citing ongoing operations by security agencies aimed at curbing criminality and strengthening national security.

He also urged citizens to support initiatives aimed at promoting peace, unity and national development, emphasizing that every Nigerian has a role to play in building a stable and prosperous nation.

The former freedom fighter commended the efforts of security personnel working in difficult circumstances to protect communities and combat criminal elements, describing their sacrifices as vital to the country’s stability.

Amagbein further encouraged Nigerians to remain resilient and patriotic, insisting that the country’s challenges can be overcome through collective determination and commitment to national progress.

He called on his supporters and Nigerians generally to continue supporting programmes and policies aimed at strengthening governance, security and economic development, expressing confidence that the nation is capable of overcoming its present difficulties.

Reaffirming his commitment to national unity and development, Amagbein urged citizens to remain hopeful and work together toward a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
