The Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim Solidarity Movement, Lagos State Chapter, has pledged to mobilise voters across Lagos State and other parts of the country in support of his presidential bid.
The group also congratulated Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim on his emergence as the presidential candidate of Accord for the 2027 general election.
In a statement issued on Monday in Lagos, the movement’s General Secretary and Director of Organisation, Oluseyi Daniel, praised the party’s primary election process.
“We warmly congratulate party leaders, delegates and members of Accord on the emergence of Dr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as the party’s presidential candidate.
“We commend the leadership of Accord for conducting a transparent and democratic process that produced a credible, experienced and visionary candidate,” he said.
Daniel stated that Olawepo-Hashim possesses the qualities required to provide leadership at a critical period in Nigeria’s history.
He described the candidate’s emergence as recognition of his contributions to national unity, democratic governance and economic development.
“His track record as a statesman, entrepreneur and advocate of national progress continues to inspire millions of Nigerians seeking a better future,” he said.
Daniel reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to supporting Olawepo-Hashim’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.
“We are ready to mobilise voters across Lagos State and beyond to ensure his victory at the polls.
“We are confident that his candidacy offers Nigerians a credible alternative and a platform for national renewal,” he said.
He added that Accord provides a stable and inclusive platform through which Olawepo-Hashim can pursue his vision for a prosperous and united Nigeria.
Daniel also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders to remain impartial throughout the electoral process.
“The credibility of the 2027 general elections will depend largely on the neutrality of institutions entrusted with safeguarding the electoral process.
“Nigeria’s democracy can only flourish when all actors operate within the bounds of the law and uphold fairness, transparency and justice,” he said.
He assured Nigerians that the movement would pursue a peaceful, issue-based and people-centred campaign as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
