Chairman of oil rich Odidi federated community in Warri south West local government area ,Delta state, Prince Preye Okrikpa, has said that his administration would continue to take steps to address issues of underdevelopment in the area even as he assured that his executive was working assiduously to produce a constitution for the community.

He recalled that his tenure was extended a few months ago by the community with a mandate to produce a constitution to regulate leadership tenures and other related issues in the area.

Continuing he also charged those working against his executive in the community to desist from such , adding that the community would not encourage any act that would threaten peace in the area.

He also said that the constitution would be formally unveiled and presented to the community when it is completed.

He said that he would continue to collaborate with all stakeholders, including government and companies operating in the area to address challenges of youth unemployment and matters of economic empowerment.

Women and youth leaders in the community said Okrikpa’s led leadership body is the recognized structure in the area , urging those against it to discontinue such an act. The Youth President of Odidi Community, Oyateide Joseph Hitler, and the Women Leader, Mrs. Nancy Ado Warebi,in their statement,also said they were committed to sustaining the peaceful atmosphere in the area.
