The Director-General of the Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT), Thalis Apalowo, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s youth-focused policies, especially in the education sector, saying they are already delivering results.

Apalowo spoke during OYAT’s grassroots engagement tour to Owo and Ose Local Government Areas of Ondo State, part of ongoing efforts to mobilize support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He noted that more undergraduates are now able to continue their studies without fear of dropping out, due to the impact of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The Director General described the scheme as “transformative,” citing its provision of tuition support and monthly stipends to students.

On federal representation, Apalowo said Ondo State is currently enjoying “unprecedented” presence at the national level, with three ministers from the state holding key portfolios. He urged residents to reciprocate the gesture with strong electoral support for the President in 2027.

“OYAT’s major missions of galvanizing over one million votes and empowering young people in Ondo are still in top gear,” Apalowo said.

“We urge the people across the state to remain consistent in mobilization and come out in large numbers to vote for President Tinubu.”

In Owo, the OYAT delegation was received by the LGA Coordinator, Hon. Opeyemi Adekosa, alongside ward and unit executives and a large crowd of supporters.

Addressing the gathering, OYAT’s Director of Programs and Strategy, Comrade Abiola Obanoyen, highlighted the community’s ties with the Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, whose wife hails from Ehin-Ogbe in the Owo Kingdom.

Obanoyen appealed for support for Tinubu’s second-term bid, citing ongoing infrastructure projects such as the dualization of the Benin–Owo–Akure road as proof of the administration’s commitment to the region.

In Ose LGA, community leader Engr. Babatunde Gbalajobi expressed confidence in Tinubu’s re-election, attributing it partly to the strong backing of Tunji-Ojo.

Gbalajobi assured that the people of Ose “will not disappoint their own” and will continue to stand firmly in support.

The events were attended by OYAT directors, local coordinators, youth groups, community representatives, and leaders of various organizations, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
