The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries has concluded its 2026 Annual General Conference, AGC, with the inauguration of a new National Executive Council and a renewed call for spiritual revival, institutional reforms and national engagement.

The three-day conference, held from May 7 to 9 at The New Seraph Prayer City, Ode Remo, Ogun State, brought together delegates, clerics and church leaders under the theme, “Revive Us O Lord,” drawn from Lamentations 5:21.

Addressing participants at the opening session, the spiritual head of the ministry, Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, described the conference as a defining moment for the church and urged members to embrace transformation and renewed commitment.

According to her, conferences serve as opportunities for reflection, reassessment and strategic planning for the future of the church.

“Conferences are for deliberations towards reviewing our past, our present, and to chart a new course for the future,” she said.
Warning against complacency and stagnation, she added: “Nobody would like to be on a spot, being stagnant forever; not even our dear Cherubim & Seraphim.”

The conference featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, business deliberations and lectures focused on church growth, governance and media relevance within the white garment movement.
The opening day featured a keynote presentation by Pastor Festus B.

Taiwo, alongside a panel session involving Apostle Olaitan Oloruntoyin, Apostle Dr. Oke Raphael, Bro. Dayo Oyewo and Rev’d Taiwo Akinmoladun, who examined practical approaches to church renewal and spiritual revival.
Proceedings on the second day focused on governance and administration, with district reports, business deliberations and a health talk aimed at strengthening the church’s institutional framework.

The final day featured a lecture titled “Media Impact in the White Garment Fold” as well as an awards and thanksgiving service held at the Chapel of Comfort.
The highpoint of the conference was the announcement of a new National Executive Council, with Primate Michael Shodimu appointed as National Chairman.

Explaining the choice of the new chairman, Dr. Yomi-Sholoye commended his commitment and dedication to service.
“He has always been responsive when called upon and even without being called, both day and night,” she said.
“I want to believe we all will support him so we can all have an all-round success story in Jesus name.”

Other members of the council include Mother Foluke Kolade-Oseni JP, Primate Richard Oba Alafia, Primate Esemedafe, Prophet Akinremi, Apostle Balogun, Prophetess Adeboreke, Prophetess Toyin Alago, Apostle Oshodi, Apostle Oluwaseun Idowu and Primate Ajose.

The outgoing chairman, Apostle Yemisi Iyun, was subsequently appointed Special Adviser to the Iya Aladura General on General Duties in recognition of his service to the ministry.

Beyond church administration, the Iya Aladura General also charged political leaders to address growing socio-economic challenges confronting Nigerians, including the rising cost of living, unemployment and electricity concerns.
She further urged the church to sustain its role as a moral and spiritual voice within society.

The conference also announced plans for NODE 8.0, a 72-hour global prayer convergence scheduled to hold from August 13 to 15, 2026.
Organisers disclosed that the event is expected to attract over 300,000 physical participants and millions of virtual attendees worldwide, with arrangements already in place for free transportation using more than 500 BRT buses and interstate coaches.

For many delegates at the close of the conference, the message was one of transition and renewed focus, as the ministry signalled a shift from its centenary celebrations towards a new phase centred on prayer, organisation and spiritual authority.
