The President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, on Wednesday received the Chairman of First HoldCo Plc, Femi Otedola, alongside senior executives of the group at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lagos.

The visit, disclosed in a statement shared via the company’s verified X handle, underscored growing collaboration between key players across Africa’s industrial and financial sectors.

According to the company, the engagement reflects a deepening alignment among leading African business figures around a shared vision for the continent’s development, anchored on production, infrastructure, energy security and sustained investment in local capacity.

“More than a visit, the engagement reflects the growing alignment between Africa’s industrial and financial leadership around a shared belief that the continent’s future must be built on production, infrastructure, energy security, and long-term investment in African capacity,” the statement read.

It added that the interaction signalled a collective commitment by business leaders to advance industrialisation, strengthen production capacity and promote regional self-sufficiency.

The company further described the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals project as one of the largest industrial investments on the continent and a significant symbol of Africa’s expanding industrial potential.

“As one of the largest industrial projects on the continent, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals stands as a symbol of what is possible when ambition is matched with execution at scale,” it stated.

The refinery, it added, continues to attract strategic interest from institutions and business leaders seeking to support industrial growth and reshape Africa’s economic future.
