Oxford honours Itani as workforce leaders gather

The future of work, artificial intelligence, and global urban transformation took centre stage at the University of Oxford as the London Organisation of Skills Development (LOSD) convened international policymakers, industry leaders, and development strategists for a high-level summit focused on the next era of global workforce evolution.

Held on 2 May 2026 at the prestigious Saïd Business School, Oxford, the LOSD global summit brought together more than 250 delegates and experts from over 45 countries, creating a platform for dialogue on leadership, innovation, technological disruption, and sustainable development.

Among the distinguished global participants was Mohamad Rabih Itani, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LOTB, whose contributions to strategic urban development and real estate innovation earned international recognition during the summit.

A major highlight of the gathering was the Skills Live Show 2026, a flagship programme featuring 51 international speakers and policy experts examining the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence, economic transformation, and future workforce requirements.

Mohamad Rabih Itani participated as an official Skills Live panellist during Panel 2: AI and the Future of Work: Skills for the Next Era, where he delivered strategic insights into the growing impact of artificial intelligence on infrastructure development, real estate transformation, and urban planning across emerging global markets.

Drawing from over twenty-five years of executive leadership experience across the Gulf, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Far East regions, Itani emphasised the growing importance of integrating technological literacy with strategic planning and institutional adaptability.

According to him, organisations operating within the real estate and infrastructure sectors must increasingly align innovation with long-term sustainability and digital transformation in order to remain globally competitive.

Industry observers noted that his contributions reflected broader international concerns surrounding the intersection of AI-driven technologies, economic resilience, and future urban development.

The summit later culminated in the LOSD Excellence Awards 2026, where Mohamad Rabih Itani was honoured in the Business Category for Leadership and Real Estate Innovation, recognising his role in advancing transformative city projects and sustainable development initiatives across multiple international markets.

Over the years, Itani has held executive leadership positions with major real estate developers operating in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Far East. His professional portfolio includes large-scale urban and infrastructure projects executed across cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and Kuala Lumpur.

Stakeholders at the summit particularly referenced his involvement in master-planned communities, public-private partnerships, and award-winning consultancy initiatives associated with branded residential developments and strategic urban expansion projects.

The Oxford summit also witnessed the official unveiling of A Book of Happiness alongside the exclusive poster launch for the upcoming global coffee table publication, 26 Game Changers of the Year 2026, scheduled for international debut at Harvard University in August 2026.

Organisers further announced future collaborative publishing projects including A Book of Resilience and Queens Rising: The Icons of 2026, initiatives designed to celebrate leadership, resilience, innovation, and global social impact across multiple sectors.

The international significance of the event was further reflected in the presence of several distinguished dignitaries who joined Prof. Dr. Parin Somani, Chief Executive Officer of LOSD, during the summit proceedings.

Members of the VIP delegation included Cllr Louise Upton, Mayor of Oxford; Cllr Dr. Sunny Lambe, Mayor of Southwark; Cllr Anjana Patel, Mayor of Harrow; Cllr Tushar Kumar, The Worshipful Mayor of Elstree & Borehamwood; and Cllr Smita Rajesh, The Worshipful Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford City.

Observers noted that Mohamad Rabih Itani’s participation at the Oxford summit reflected the growing role of globally experienced infrastructure and development leaders in shaping conversations surrounding the future of work, sustainable urbanisation, and technological transformation.

As governments and industries continue adapting to rapidly evolving economic and digital realities, stakeholders at the summit maintained that long-term global progress will increasingly depend on leadership capable of balancing innovation, institutional resilience, and human-centred development.
