Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his wife Mariam Ajibola have welcomed a set of twin boys.
The revered monarch announced the birth of the children in a post shared on his Instagram page, where he expressed gratitude to God for the latest additions to the royal family.
“To God be all the glory and adoration for His wondrous works and abundant blessings once again,” the monarch wrote.
The traditional ruler also confirmed that both the mother and the newborns are in good health.
“Warmest congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and to Olori Mariam Ajibola on the joyous arrival of a prince and a prince to the royal throne of Oduduwa. We give thanks to Almighty God as both mother and the children are in good health,” he added.
Mariam Ajibola married the Ooni in 2022, shortly after the collapse of his marriage to former queen Silekunola Naomi.
She is one of the wives of the monarch alongside Folashade Ashley Adegoke, Elizabeth Akinmuda, Temitope Adesegun, and Ronke Ademiluyi.
Oba Ogunwusi was previously married to Adebukola Bombata. His 2016 marriage to Zaynab Wuraola Otiti also ended in separation.
