Nigerian Women in PR unveils first non-founder executive leadership team

By Benjamin Njoku

Nigerian Women in PR, the Nigerian country hub of the Public Relations Women Foundation (PRWF), has appointed its first non-founder executive leadership team.

The five appointments mark a key milestone in the organisation’s transition from a founder-led community to a fully institutionalised professional body with distributed leadership.

The new team takes effect immediately and will serve a two-year tenure through March 2028.

Among them are Adaoha Njemanze, founder of NOVVA Media and Communications, who is appointed the new president. Omotoyosi Ajayi, founder and CEO of Stage Africa Media and Advisory, becomes Vice President and Programs Director. Others are Ufuoma Oritsebinone, Assistant Chief Information Officer at the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa, is Partnership and Advocacy Coordinator; Fatihah Ayinde, founder of Flagscale PR and Communications, is Communications and Events Coordinator; and Edose Eromosele, Corporate Communications Executive at Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, is the new membership and community engagement coordinator.

The organisation said the team reflects a deliberate commitment to inclusive, distributed leadership.

Tolulope Olorundero, founder and outgoing executive lead of Nigerian Women in PR and Chair of the Board of Trustees of PRWF, expressed confidence in the new team.

“Succession planning and impact sustainability are central to how we run this organisation,” she said. “These appointments show that PR can set the standard for how transitions are managed and how organisations thrive beyond their founding generation. Nigerian Women in PR has always been bigger than any one person. Today, that becomes fully visible.”

She added, “I’ve always been a strong advocate for Nigerian women in public relations. While we must continue to amplify the value of PR, we also need to stay engaged in shaping its future. I’m excited about the vision and leadership this team brings, and the opportunity to drive meaningful change, strengthen collaboration, and elevate professional standards.”

Established in 2019, Nigerian Women in PR has reached over 12,000 professional women, delivered more than 15 PR Students Summits across Nigerian tertiary institutions, pioneered the first reverse mentorship program in global PR, and published two editions of “Experiencing PR” which documents the careers of 18 Nigerian women in the field worldwide.
