A National Ambassador of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), David Oluwadamilare Rotimi, has extended congratulations to Comrade Alao John Oluwadamilola following his emergence as the National Financial Secretary of NANS at the just-concluded National Convention.
In a statement made available to newsmen shortly after the announcement of the convention results, Rotimi described John’s victory as “a well-deserved triumph of competence, credibility, and years of committed service to the Nigerian student movement.”
According to him, “the emergence of Comrade Alao John into the national executive of the Association reflects the confidence and trust Nigerian students have placed in tested leadership, experience, and accountability.”
He noted that John has, over the years, remained consistent in service, leadership, and dedication to the ideals of student unionism, earning the respect of comrades and stakeholders across the country.
Rotimi further stated that John’s victory represents more than an electoral success, describing it as a victory for responsible leadership, transparency, and purposeful service within NANS.
He expressed optimism that the new National Financial Secretary would bring discipline, accountability, prudent financial coordination, and renewed administrative strength to the office.
“Comrade Alao John Oluwadamilola has built a reputation around dedication, sacrifice, and visible contribution to the student movement. His emergence is not only deserving, but also timely for the continued growth and progress of NANS. I have full confidence in his capacity to deliver effectively and justify the trust reposed in him by Nigerian students,” Rotimi said.
He also prayed for wisdom, strength, and a successful tenure for the newly-elected National Financial Secretary, while expressing hope that his administration would contribute meaningfully to strengthening the financial structure of the Association and advancing the collective interests of Nigerian students nationwide.
The statement concluded with Rotimi wishing John a productive and impactful tenure in office, while joining student leaders and stakeholders across the federation in celebrating what he described as “a significant and historic emergence for the Nigerian student movement.”
